We believe this adult Eastern Cottontail Rabbit was hit by a car. He sustained head trauma and an injury to his left hind leg. Thankfully he was taken to Procyon Wildlife Centre and assessed by the NWC Veterinary Team. X-rays were taken to ensure that he had no broken bones and his wounds were treated. Bunnies often are most active at dusk and dawn. Being alert and slowing down will help reduce the incidents of vehicle impacts with wildlife.
