This little Green frog arrived early in October with a serious injury – a large, open wound on his back that had stripped the skin away. Even so, he never lost his will to fight.

With careful treatment, he gained weight, and his wound contracted, with no signs of infection. He stayed with us in care until he had completely healed and ready for life back in the wild. He was released several weeks later in time for hibernation and to continue his important work of being an indicator species of wetland health.

Even the smallest patients deserve a second chance.
