This young Red fox arrived with severe trauma and was unable to walk. X-rays revealed a fractured tibia and a fractured femur in his hind legs, likely from an encounter with a vehicle.
NWC’s, Dr. Stalenhoef and Dr. Cox performed surgery to repair the broken bones using special medical pins, which were removed once stable.
Thanks to the compassionate care of our veterinary team, this little fox recovered normally and is now back to where he should be – in nature!
