The 2023 Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament (CCCGT) was held at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley Golf Course in Caledon on July 25, 2023 and significant funds were raised to support Caledon community organizations.

This year’s primary grant recipient National Wildlife Centre (NWC) will receive $75,000. The funding will support the mobile hospital as well as construction of a new field wildlife hospital to serve the community and beyond. Currently NWC operates a mobile wildlife veterinary clinic for injured, sick or orphaned animals, a permanent location will allow them to accept animals from the public as well.

“We have many to thank that make this tournament possible,” said CCCGT Chair Lynn Kiernan, Councillor Ward 1. “I would like to say a special thank you to Caledon Meals on Wheels and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley Golf Course in Caledon for their continued support of the tournament.”

“It is wonderful to know the funds raised by this tournament directly benefit Caledon,” said Dave Sheen CCCGT Vice-Chair and Ward 2 Councillor. “Community groups and service organizations can carry out their important work that makes a difference in the quality of life in our Town.”

“This tournament raises funds for important initiatives and programs that would not otherwise be available to groups and service clubs in Caledon,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “I thank all that have supported and participated to make it a fundraising success.”

The Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament began in 2004 to help support community initiatives and became an annual event. Non-profit groups located in Caledon are encouraged to learn more about how to apply, visit  Golf Tournament Committee for details.
